Mollie West Duffy
Mollie West Duffy is an organizational design lead at IDEO in New York, NY. What exactly is organizational design, you might ask? It's helping IDEO's clients become more adaptive, creative, and prolific by reimagining all aspects of an organization from its underlying structures, incentives, processes, and talent practices to its physical workplaces, digital collaboration tools and communications.
She's worked on projects at IDEO ranging from starting an innovation lab within a financial services firm, shifting organizational culture within a major federal government entity, and improving customer and employee experience at a large stadium. Previously she consulted for Casper (the mattress e-tailer), did research for the dean of Harvard Business School, and was a design strategist at Capital One Labs.
She's written for Harvard Business Review, Fast Company, Quartz, and other digital outlets. She co-founded the Capital Good Fund, Rhode Island's first microfinance fund in 2008. She graduated from Brown and has an MFA in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons.
She co-authored the Wall Street Journal bestselling book about emotions at work: No Hard Feelings, which was published by Penguin in February 2019.
She co-runs a series of meet-ups in NYC on culture called CULTURE LABx.
